Pro Bono

Gwendoline demonstrates her commitment to pro bono work through extensive and active support of a wide variety of issues, with special attention to the areas of prostitution and human trafficking, the protection of the counselling records of sexual assault complainants, and freedom of association. She is an active participant in Access Pro Bono’s legal clinic with the Vancouver Rape Relief and Women’s Shelter.

Gwendoline is a frequent and sought-after speaker and writer on a variety of legal issues both within and outside the legal industry. She is the founding co-author of a textbook on employment standards law, a former Chair of the Continuing Legal Education Society of BC and a former adjunct professor at the University of British Columbia, teaching civil procedure. Gwendoline acts as a mentor to other lawyers in the profession, and gladly shares her time and experience with others.
